David is a Senior Lean Consultant. He completed an BSC in Engineering and a supporting HNC in Engineering. He has lean manufacturing implementation experience in many manufacturing and none manufacturing areas (Automotive, Aerospace, FMCG, Ship building, NHS, Nuclear and heavy industry).
He has previously worked at Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK Ltd. During this time, he gained significant working knowledge and understanding of the Toyota Production System within the U.K. and Japan. His initial responsibilities was to commission the machining lines prior to start of production. He then went on to implement the Toyota systems within the machining lines to set standards and to aid with the Lean ramp up of production.
He has worked for Toyota during the very early stages of its establishment of a manufacturing facility in the UK and was directly involved in training and development of new employees as the company grew.

David has worked in consultancy since 1998. Key projects include responsibility to develop and implement Lean production systems at various clients including: Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, Velux, BMW, General Motors, Airbus, Bombardier Transportation, Rolls Royce, BAE systems and many more.
